Russian judiciary in not-quite-cricket shocker!
Did you know a “punk band” is on trial in Russia, looking at up to seven years in clink simply for singing (admittedly in a cathedral) the words “Virgin Mary, chase Putin out!”? Well you do now, thanks to Madonna’s travelling PR machine.

Now my system is more or less set up at home, I was looking forward to some good tips in that PC-hifi article you mention – until I spotted that they recommend purchasing a “warm-sounding power cable for the computer”. I then found it hard to read the rest without one eyebrow raised!
You should try buying one of the DACs they recommend without taking out a second mortgage!
Do you make sure your cables are always pugged in the same way, BTW? This is something I have on good authority, that every cable has a best way round in which it works but so long as you always plug them in the same way (usually make the direction of “sound” travel follow the writing on the side) they improve over time.
Also, I just got a reply from Numark asking me to call, which I did, and they have recommended uninstalling any old printer or webcam drivers I have and sending me a new driver for the DJ:IO.
I shall post the results…
You mean speaker cables? Yeah, ours have direction on them which I follow ever since the bloke in richer sounds told.me in 1994 and I’ve never forgotten
however, the new stuff I bought for the rewire doesn’t seem to have a direction marked. Nor do any phono cables usually so I dunno how real an issue it is.
I think the rest of your system would have to be pretty to-end for you to notice really. And your ears.
